A new year brings new opportunities. It’s a great time to plan new sales goals and consider ways in which your business can become more efficient in retail operations.

10 years ago, Apple used this time of year to introduce the first iPhone on January 9, 2007— a device that revolutionized the way consumers interacted with their mobile phones. The iPhone also created a future for smartphones and the technology path for retailers.

Most point of sale and inventory control software offers both a mobile POS and mobile inventory feature. These features allow you to operate your business from the sales floor. While you can improve sales conversion by bringing the POS to the customer instead of the customer needing to bring their items to the POS, you can also reduce the time it takes to receive new inventory by receiving inventory right out of the box.
